For several years, the BSD Tools has supported multi-factor authentication (MFA) for users logging in with their Google Accounts. Today, we are pleased to announce that we are extending MFA support to users logging in with conventional email/password combinations.
Multi-factor authentication makes your BSD account more secure. When you log in to an account with it enabled, the system will ask for both your password and a unique security code you’ll access from an application on your mobile device. Even if someone has compromised your password, they will not be able to access your account without also having the security code.
To enable MFA, simply log in to your BSD Tools account, click the gear icon in the top navigation, select “Your Account”, and toggle on multi-factor authentication. You’ll be prompted to follow a few enrollment steps.
If you have any questions, please contact the BSD Tools Client Services team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
